I suggest you fish with a lure from the shore or from a boat. It is a very fun technique, suitable for beginners and very complete, which will also delight experienced fishermen. All lure techniques can be used in the Gulf of Morbihan. For my part, I prefer fishing with surface lures as soon as the conditions allow it. Seeing the surface of the water explode where our lure is cruising provides an intense adrenaline rush.

I also use light soft lures to rake the edges of the Gulf islets as well as the oyster beds. Extracting a pretty Bar from the oyster beds also provokes strong sensations and with ultralight equipment, the pleasure is there.

The strong currents of the Gulf make it possible to practice a fast drift fishing technique with a soft lure. It requires dexterity and concentration but may be rewarded with huge bass catches.

Bass fly fishing in the Gulf is my specialty. I have been fishing this magnificent fish around the Gulf Islands for 9 years now and the pleasure is unscathed. Fly fishing requires the fisherman to show patience and ingenuity but when the fish catches your fly you are directly with him and the equipment lets you appreciate all the liveliness of your opponent. One can use surface or sinking streamers and unleash enraged attacks. You can also offer an imitation of crab or shrimp on a fish spotted on sight and wait for it to delicately swallow it. It's simply magical. Please note that this technique is intended for experienced launchers. This technique makes it easy to send your streamers over 20m in all conditions.
