    The Eclosarium: Museum of microscopic marine life and the history of the Island of Houat, shop and temporary exhibition Located off the coast of the Quiberon peninsula, on the island of Houat, the Eclosarium is a multifaceted place, both Museum of microscopic marine life and the history of the island of Houat, shop and exhibition gallery.

    In the Museum section, you can dive into the secret life of the oceans, let yourself be transported into the world of the infinitely small, through an initiatory journey that will reveal to you the fragility and importance of the microscopic marine world, the true blue lung of the planet.

    You will also learn more about the history of the island and the life of the Houatais, entirely devoted to the sea.

    From the first archaeological traces to contemporary times, an interesting highlight of everything that makes Houat a unique island, cherished by its inhabitants.

    It is also at the Eclosarium that you can admire each season a new exhibition with free access, an island garden where all the botanical diversity of the island is represented.

    The Eclosarium is accessible in 15 minutes on foot from the port, the opportunity to take a pleasant walk to reach the site, nestled at the top of the cliffs.
